Etsy is putting the clamp down on fraudulent sellers on here...............thank goodness. You know what I am talking about. The leather bracelet I bought for 9.99 but my sister old wholesaler used to sell to boutiques already made! I was dumb enough to think..oh..this is handmade..it wasn't. It was exactly like the ones she used to sell.
My sister discovered last night that under SUPPLIES...............several suppliers are selling already assembled jewelry all set to list. This makes my blood boil. I remember when Etsy first came out some years ago. I was hooked. Organic cotton, hippies, non gmo cotton, edibles, beautiful clothing, simple clothing, unique & different.................nothing from questionable countries that use slave sweat shops.........I bought but eventually closed that account. It is a shame that Etsy has turned into such a huge uncontrolled environment of people taking advantage of a beautiful thing. I am an upcycled...............always have been, always will be. I was raised that way. Off the land, my parents had multiple gardens on their land and at my grandparents. We canned fruits and veg's. Mom sewed our clothing. Mom and dad recycled everything and still to this day live by "Waste no want not." I am happy to have grown up that way. I do know the limit though of when it is time to properly recycle and donate.
Please take a moment to read the article. Think about...perhaps we should try not to purchase from fraudulent buyers who should be ashamed of themselves.
